Missions

nineteen:ten church is committed to coming alongside other ministries, both locally and internationally, to help equip them in reaching the people God has called them to serve.

Domestic Missions

Christian Unity

Christian Unity Ministries seeks to further the gospel of Jesus Christ by training and equipping the local church and Christian organizations in Biblical unity. They use conferences, retreats, and training events to teach scriptural values and processes for interpersonal relationships. Their curriculum is often taught in pastoral conferences during overseas mission trips.

Volunteer Opportunities: PRAY for their ministry to be blessed and that their works around the world would teach a needed concept in hostile countries.

Taking it to the Streets – San Antonio

Taking It to the Streets is a Christian-based, community ministry that provides prayer, meals, clothing, and support to the homeless and less fortunate in the greater San Antonio and Boerne areas. They strive to create opportunities for the body of Christ to be the hands and feet of Jesus and serve those in need. Their volunteers serve a warm meal and distribute clothing to approximately 200 homeless people downtown, and distribute food to impoverished families on a weekly basis.

Volunteer Opportunities:  Be a part of serving food in downtown San Antonio every Friday night and/or on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.

Hill Country Daily Bread

Hill Country Daily Bread (HCDB) strives to equip the Body of Christ with food, resources, and training to transform our communities and the lives of those in poverty through the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ. They currently serve over 2,800 Hill Country families on a weekly basis.

Volunteer Opportunities:  Become a Family Mentor by delivering a prepared food box to their home every other Thursday. You can also become a student mentor, help with Friday night food distribution, or provide operational, administrative, or special project support.

Baptist General Convention of Texas

The BGCT encourages, facilitates, and connects churches in their work to fulfill God’s mission of reconciling the world to Himself.

Volunteer Opportunities: PRAY for their ministry efforts.

Hill Country Pregnancy Center

Every day, Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center receives calls from women and men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, seeking an abortion, or struggling to deal with a past abortion decision. Since 1984, their center has offered Christ-centered help to hundreds of people in need. They encourage all clients seeking an abortion to consider choosing life for their unborn child, and they gently lead those who have already had abortions toward God’s merciful and healing power.

Volunteer Opportunities:  Participate in the Baby Bottle Boom-A-Rang Fundraiser every May. Give your time in the Nanny’s Closet and Boutique, which is constantly taking donations for baby and maternity items. You can also become a Bible study leader or a counselor for women dealing with abortion, join their school relations/prayer teams, assist with administrative and clerical work, or sign up for their Gala in September.

Little Black Dress Society

The Little Black Dress Society exists to educate our community on domestic violence and abuse, and empower and embrace survivors. Their vision is to help restore hope to women and their children by working with the community, and to best assess families’ needs once they leave their abuser. LBDS wants survivors to know they are worthy of love and respect, and help them build self-esteem.

No Strings Attached

No Strings Attached Outreach is a support group for women that work in the sex industry. We provide support, resources and connections in the community when needed for women that currently work in the sex industry.

Once a month, their team visits adult entertainment clubs in San Antonio with the purpose of
letting girls know they are loved, valued, and purposed. They develop relationships with the girls
and guys working in the clubs, and believe everyone deserves to hear and experience the
gospel. They desire to show God’s love in a practical way... with no strings attached.

Volunteer Opportunities: PRAY for their ministry

Foreign Missions

Children’s HopeChest – Guatemala

In 2015, nineteen:ten church began a new partnership with Children's HopeChest to sponsor schoolchildren in the city of Tecpán, Guatemala. We currently sponsor over 110 children at Colegio Israel, a school that provides quality education to children who may not be able to afford school fees. Our partnership has allowed sponsored children opportunities they otherwise could not have obtained! We also lead medical and student mission trips to Tecpán each year. If you are interested in joining an upcoming trip, please contact Kelly Stahl for more information. If you are interested in sponsoring a child through Children’s Hopechest, visit our site at

Child Legacy International

Child Legacy International Inc. is a Christian non-profit organization based in Zimbabwe and Malawi. They desire to break the generational cycle of poverty and despair while supporting each person's pursuit of their God-given destiny. They provide clean water, food, sustainable farming, education, and healthcare to Africa’s most disadvantaged populations.

Go and Tell

Go and Tell is a 501(c)(3) ministry that aims to plant a heart for missions in the local church. Its founder, Greg Lewis, attends our church. Greg is passionate about sharing the word of Christ to those who have never heard the Good News. He also brings greatly needed support and encouragement to local pastors on his overseas trips. He has led multiple trips for nineteen:ten church to Africa, Indonesia, Cancun, the Philippines, and Guadalajara, Mexico over the past ten years.

Volunteer Opportunities: PRAY that each time Greg leads a team, lives are changed on the team and at the destination.
